We’re hiring again! We love bringing qualified and passionate people onto our staff team. At this time, we’re looking for a Temporary Fundraising Assistant. Position Summary

The Temporary Fundraising Assistant will work with the Advancement Director to raise funds through fundraising events, campaigns and major gifts. Duties will include outreach to current and past donors, potential new donors, administrative duties related to donor management, and other duties as assigned.

Time Period: Mid April – July 15, 2018 (but may be extended based on circumstances)

Reports to: Advancement Director (Primary); Executive Director (Secondary)

Hours: 20/week (Part-Time)

Pay: $9-$10 (based on experience)

Holidays and Benefits: None

 

Position Competencies

  3. Ability to create, implement, and hone systems of organization; detail-oriented
  4. Excellent communication and administrative skills
  5. Able to identify and develop emerging leaders for fundraising volunteer teams
  6. Available and willing to counsel volunteer team leaders and give sound, biblical advice that aligns with center beliefs, as well as practical fundraising advice to help meet goals

 

Qualifications for Employment

  • Must be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, including membership in good-standing, and attendance of a local church
  • Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the life-affirming position and sexual purity
  • Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith and policies of the Care Center
  • Prior experience in assisting with fundraising events, major gifts, direct mailings, and/or capital campaigns is preferred
  • Have at least one year of experience in ministry, or as a volunteer in some ministry capacity

  • Be available to work some nights and weekends, as needed
  • Must attend all fundraising events
  • Strong sense of initiative, with the ability to manage a variety of key initiatives at the same time

 

Essential Responsibilities of the Position

 

  • Fundraising

 

      1. Lead in contacting and securing sponsors for Benefit Dinner Silent Auction; includes approaching individuals, businesses, churches and other organizations for sponsorships, donations, and appointments in an organized way
      2. Follow-up with donors and sponsors regarding fundraising opportunities and important information, as needed
      3. Identify and contact prospective donors to help increase revenue
      4. Work with fundraising staff to develop new fundraising ideas

 

  • Logistics and Admin Support

 

      1. Work with the Advancement Director to schedule appointments with current, new, and past donors; keep detailed notes
      2. Work with the Advancement Director on logistics for the Walk for Life event before, during and after, including thank you letters, mailings, data entry, etc.
      3. Maintain records of donor information in logistical sheets and donor management system
      4. Ensure that all legal reporting requirements are satisfied

 

  • Volunteer Development

 

    1. Help recruit and continually develop volunteer teams for fundraising events, such as Walk for Life and Benefit Dinner
