Sponsor the Event

We need sponsors to set a foundation of giving for our event! Please see the listed sponsorship levels with benefits in the following drop-downs. If interested in sponsoring, please contact Priscilla Martin via email or phone (336-274-4901). Your generosity fuels the mission!

Our free medical services are the foundation of the success sequence for our clients. It is the reason women come through our doors. Your sponsorship will ensure we can continue making abortion unnecessary by providing free services to women facing an unplanned pregnancy. The Care Center currently provides free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STD tests and treatment.

In 2019 our goal is to continue improving our medical services and expanding these services to our surrounding areas. Your sponsorship may contribute towards these fundamental medical services to ensure maximum care for our clients.

It costs approximately $440 a day to operate our mobile ultrasound unit. Your sponsorship will help ensure we can continue to make abortion unnecessary in our community by administering all our free medical services to our clients in a mobile capacity.

Last year we began parking our mobile unit outside of the abortion facility in Greensboro. As women are walking into the facility our team of sidewalk advocates and registered nurses have an opportunity to speak and minister to abortion-minded women. In 2018, 42% of the pregnant clients we saw were abortion-minded or abortion-vulnerable.

29% of those clients changed their intentions and chose life for their child. Our mobile unit is currently out in our community 4 days a week. Your sponsorship may help us take the mobile unit out an additional 1-2 days per week. Imagine the impact this would make and the lives saved in our community.

Our classes equip clients to make optimal health choices moving forward. Your sponsorship will ensure we can continue educating our clients on healthy sexuality, pregnancy, abortion risks and alternatives, and more, all free of charge.

The classes you help to support include a pregnancy and parenting class, a life skills class and abortion recovery. The pregnancy and parenting class teaches parents how to care for their baby both inside and outside of the womb. The life-skills classes teach clients various life-skills they need to make optimal health choices, moving forward. The abortion recovery class teaches those who have an abortion in their past how to heal from that experience, including how the gospel of Jesus Christ applies to them.

We want to help the moms we serve reach optimal health outcomes.

Our total goal for the Walk for Life event is to empower at least 167 moms. How many will you help to empower?

Frequently Asked Questions

If you can’t make it to the event, don’t worry! You can still help us raise money by joining a walk team. As a walk participant, your real race is to see who can raise the most money. You can raise money without coming to the event itself, though we’d love for you to be there if it’s possible. As long as you raise the funds and turn in all moneys before the beginning of the event, you’ll be eligible for top prizes.

It’s totally fine if you don’t want to join a team, but still want to come walk at our event; joining the walk event is free and open to anyone who shows up. However, we would encourage you to participate in the mission with us by helping us raise funds on your own! You can register as an individual fundraiser. Just click on the “Register” button at the top of this webpage and select “Join as an Individual” under the “Participation Preference” dropdown menu on the registration form (it’s the first dropdown menu on the form). Thanks for partnering with us!

Funds you help raise allow the Care Center to continue offering free services to clients for the fiscal year. It takes nearly $1,200 to empower one mom to choose life for her child here at the Care Center. This year, our goal is $200,000. That’s equivalent to 167 moms. How many moms will you help?

This year’s walk will account for approximately 20% of our overall budget. Please help us meet this goal! We are always available to talk further, if needed. A detailed breakdown of our budget is available upon request. Help us empower more moms to choose life for their children!

You can turn in money collected offline at the Care Center during normal business hours (9am-5pm) or on the morning of the Walk event at check-in.

Walk for Life takes place rain or shine. However, if weather conditions become dangerous, the event will be cancelled. Be sure to let your supporters know that the Care Center still needs their support, rain or shine. The real race is to see which team can raise the most money!

If you have a family of walkers, make sure to register each member who wants a t-shirt so they can receive one by raising at least $100! That means if you’re bringing kids who want a t-shirt, make sure you register them, and have them ask friends, teachers, or family members to help them get to $100!

The easiest way to raise that $100 is for you to give $50, and for you to get one friend or family member to give $50. Or for you to give $20 and ask 4 people you know to give $20, etc. You can do it!

The walk is about 2 miles. If this is too far, just go part of the way and come back to LeBauer Park for refreshments while you wait to hear the total amount raised at 11:30am!

Participants should wear loose-fitting clothing (in layers to accommodate temperature changes), cotton or wool socks and walking or tennis shoes. For people who have special health needs or young children, bring any prescription medications or snacks in case an appropriate one is not provided.

Participants get supporters by asking! No one will support you if you fail to ask them. Many people are supported by co-workers, friends, family, neighbors, and local businesses. Some companies also sponsor their employees, or provide matching gifts.

Participants who use online fundraising raise 3 to 4 times the amount of money than those who do not. It is safe and secure, and you don’t need to handle cash or deposit checks. Send the link to your fundraising page (or your team fundraising page) to friends and family via text message, email, or on social media!

How To Raise Money

The best way to raise money is by forming a team of fundraisers. To form a team, designate a team leader to create your team and start rallying others to participate as team members (fundraisers). Team members actively raise money by contacting their friends and family to donate to them and/or the team. Then on walk day, your team comes to the event with money in-hand or already raised online. See below for two ways to collect money. Teams and individuals who raise the most money by Walk day  will earn incentives at various levels!

2 Ways to Collect Money

1. Online:

After registering with a team online, you and your teammates can contact friends, or share your page on social media and text messaging to start getting donations to your personal Walk for Life page, or your team page. This is the fastest and easiest way to raise money! You can keep track of your individual and team totals in real-time.

2. Collect Donations:

You can use the donation form in our “Fundraiser Packet” to collect cash and checks. Be sure to fill out all the contact information for donors so we can process their gifts. Place the money in an envelope with the donation form enclosed and bring it on Walk day. (*If you need a Fundraiser Packet, swing by the Care Center to pick one up, or get one from your team leader.)

On walk day, make sure to bring all your collected cash and checks in an envelope with the donation form enclosed. Drop your money off at the check-in table and start stretching!
